Don’t buy a “landscape rake”, or a “weed cutter”. We designed the Seaweeder Rake because we tried those products first, and they really don’t work very well. Most of the weeds just slide right by the wide grooves on the “landscape rakes”. Cutting the weeds may seem like a great idea and quicker too, but can ultimately make things worse – the cut weeds are floating everywhere which is a mess, and the “stump” that’s left behind with the roots will regrow quickly. The floating cut plants can also re-root as well, so you could quickly have twice as many weed plants growing !

This closeup picture to the right shows the rake head which is 30″ wide, and made of galvanized steel that is then powder coated to resist rust. There are over 50 slots designed to grasp the weeds, so that when you pull the rake back through the water, the weeds are pulled out with their roots (does not just cut the weeds like most other products). Great for any type of water weed removal, pond weed control, lake weeds, etc…whatever you may call them (seaweed, water weeds, milfoil).
■ Very effective for water weed removal – even pulls out small individual plants with their roots which discourages re-growth
■ The attached rope is 16′ long so you can toss the rake out for farther reach, and the handle is made of wood so it floats slightly as the rake skims the bottom – as it’s pulled back the teeth are at the correct angle to catch more weeds.
■ Removes most of the weeds from the water which will minimize “floaters” and regrowth (competitors products cut the stems which can lay on the bottom and re-root).
